The Institute of Telecommunications Professionals (ITP) is the leading independent professional authority for the telecommunications industry. The ITP aims to improve working practices within the industry by promoting professional development programmes based on three basic components:
INFORM - ITP provides information about the latest developments in technology and industry trends
NETWORK - ITP provides a variety of effective, highly targeted networking events designed to improve communication, inspire broader thinking and promote best practice amongst members

Founded in 1906, and previously known as The Communications Network and The Institute of British Telecommunications Engineers, the ITP currently has over 10,000 individuals representing a cross-section of professions within the industry. ITP is leading an industry-wide initiative designed to improve the qualifications on offer for those employed within the telecommunications industry.
