Help us to shape the future of telecoms – workshop for employers

The ITP is currently looking at ways it can work with employers to develop a new apprenticeship scheme.

Apprenticeships are high on the national political agenda, and an excellent way of bringing vital new talent into the telecoms industry.

We feel that with our background in training, mentoring and career development, the ITP would be well placed to develop a new apprenticeship project, aimed at small and medium sized businesses.

However, we also feel that any industry-wide apprenticeship scheme needs to be tailored to the needs of employers, and we are planning to consult as widely as possible.

We are holding a workshop about apprenticeships in Bracknell on February 8th. At the workshop, we will explain more about how the scheme might work, and look for views on what employers need.

The event offers a unique opportunity not only to make your voice heard and to share your views on apprenticeships, but also to network with other telecoms professionals.

We are holding the workshop during National Apprenticeship Week, making it part of a topical debate on the future of apprentice schemes across the country.

The workshop will be held at the Hilton Bracknell between 9am and 1pm on February 8th. It will be hosted by Lucy Woods, ITP Chairman, and CEO Ann Potterton.
