Porta Systems is multi-divisional corporation that has been manufacturing products for the communications industry for over three decades. The Protection Products division is a leader in the development of devices for the Protection and Connection of Voice and Data networks. Used by telephone and data service providers around the world, the products of this division include Distribution Frames and Blocks for Central Offices, Building Entrance Terminals used at the Outside Plant. This division also manufactures protection products for use at the Customer Premise, including surge protectors for telephone lines and Category 5E and Category 6 rated terminals for data lines.

Porta System’s North Hills Signal Processing division manufactures Data Bus Products and Wideband Transformers for a wide range of applications in the military, aerospace, and industrial markets. This division offers standard and custom solutions of high frequency magnetic-based products for data communication, noise elimination, ground isolation and signal processing.

Within the past two years, Porta has put together the technologies of both of these divisions to form its Security Products division. Using the impedance matching balun technology from the North Hills division, and the surge arrestor technology from the Protection Products division, Porta Systems now offers a line of connection and protection products perfectly suited to the continuously growing and changing Security Industry. Products from this division range from single channel baluns, both with and without surge protection, to coaxial protectors, to multi-channel protectors for the valuable recording devices and data collected at the head end.

Through all of its divisions, Porta Systems has continuously improved the fields of Protection and Signal Processing, gaining widespread recognition for its innovative designs.
