The ITP invites you to a half-day seminar about Innovation in Mobile Services
David Pollington, Head of Technical Research - Consumer and Internet, Vodafone joins the panel to discuss Innovation in Mobile Services. 
Where is the mobile industry going? On the one hand we see the internet made more available to everybody, everywhere, all the time and more affordably.
- Are we steadily allowing access to all content and services on all devices and on all networks?
- Do we need to make the technology invisible to the end user in order to stimulate mass adoption?
- Must we replicate what happened with fixed line and the internet?
Yet in reality the opposite may be happening, with the iPhone having developed its own special content and services, exclusive to the O2 network.
- Will this policy of divide and conquer continue for the higher end users?
If so, how does this fit with innovations in the industry that provide both content and technology for the mass market at lower tariffs for both data and voice? Where are we going with mobile presence and location services and what are the implications for the industry?
