The Anglian Region of the Institute of Telecommunications Professionals, took part in the Engineering Showcase 2008, at the Kesgrave Conference Centre Ipswich, on Monday 17th March 2008.
This annual event is organised by the Suffolk Education Business Partnership and brings together local industries and businesses, with the aim of encouraging School Students to embark on studies and careers within Engineering and Science. With a wide representation of industry and institutions in attendance, students and teaching staff were able to discover the importance and value of Engineering in all its forms. Schools attending were represented from a 50 mile radius and some 500 students enjoyed the day.
The message from the ITP stand, demonstrated ITP's interest in Engineering, Science and their application to all aspects of communications - from business to entertainment, from mobility to network based services and most importantly, ITP's interest in the people creating the communications experience. Commencing with the learning and knowledge gained at school, to the development and understanding at College/University and eventually to the skills and experience of the workplace.
It was a whole day event from 9.00am to 4.00pm and apart from the educational benefits, ITP made many new contacts and friends, and extended its caring professional image to all.
