The 'Futures Conference was held in London at the City Conference Centre on 16th May 2007.
The conference was chaired by Professor Issat Darwarzeh who is chair of communications engineering at University College London. It proved to be an eye opening day.
The highlights included a talk by Professor Peter Cochrane, a renowned figure in futurology, who gave a thought provoking talk on the 'Future of Wet Ware'. Ian Pearson, a leading futurologist from BT gave a possible dystopian view entitled 'The New Dark Age' and the day concluded with "Why art and technology need each other in the digital networked economy" by Robin Mannings a Research Foresight Manager with BT. Almost 100 delegates attended the conference and the feedback was universally positive.
