Science Magic….Magic Science
ITP members and their families braved atrocious weather conditions to be entertained and educated by Professor Ian B Dunne. Professor Dunne delivered a fantastic presentation to a jovial and very responsive family audience. As promised the show contained mystery, suspense and laughter.
Professor Dunne entertained with a mix of chemistry and physics examples, to demonstrate the Magic of Science. The audience witnessed Barbie’s hair standing on end, Rabbits appearing from hats and aluminium containers cascading off the top of the sphere, amongst other tricks.
The audience were in raptures throughout. The support for this event was most encouraging with parties travelling from Newport, Wales as well as a large contingent from Leicester, Mansfield and Stone. Everyone left stating just how much he or she had enjoyed the lecture and enquiring when and where is the next one?
Here are just a couple of comments that we have received from members who attended the event:
'Thanks for arranging the Lecture in Birmingham, it was appreciated by my family, both sons and grandchildren.
Ian Dunne has an effective and practical way of presenting his lecture.
It has lead to many questions from the grandchildren that my sons' and myself are still giving explanations to'.

'Just a note to say how much the family enjoyed this informative and entertaining 'lecture' by the Prof.
My children were not excited by the prospect of a 'lecture'. But were really glad they went (were taken).
Maybe it should be re-named something like: 'Family entertainment: The magic of science'.
Thanks again for the tickets'.
Regards,
Eugene.
