Sally Davis, Chief Executive Officer, BT Wholesale
Sally Davis is CEO BT Wholesale and her role is to lead the Wholesale team in its delivery of existing business at the same time as exploiting new opportunities in an IP-enabled world. She also champions Wholesale's contribution to helping BT become number one for customer service. Sally is a member of BT’s Operating Committee.
Prior to this Sally was BT’s first Chief Portfolio Officer providing overall leadership for the shape and future of the company’s portfolio. Sally’s role was to apply a clear commercial logic to managing today’s portfolio whilst ensuring that we built innovative convergent services and solutions for the future.
Sally is recognised as a fine strategic thinker, but also demonstrates an in-depth knowledge of the core business issues. She is keen to push the boundaries of possibility and passionate about exceeding customer expectations.
Sally is also BT’s disability champion. Her belief is that everyone should feel valued and included in the BT global community and be judged purely and objectively on their contribution to the business.
Sally has also worked in a BT Line of Business as president, BT Global Products where she brought together a single global portfolio across all units and countries. In addition to the product portfolio transformation and because of her conceptual ability Sally led the transformation of the international customer services function within BT Global Services and within fifteen months the team were exceeding targets in all areas.
Sally has been with BT for eight years and prior to this held leading roles in several major communications companies, including Bell Atlantic in the US and Mercury Communications in the UK.
Sally holds a seat on the board of The Henderson Smaller Companies Investment Trust PLC. She is an English graduate and now a Fellow of University College London.
