Benefits of Professional Registration to Employers

Professional Registration is protected by Royal Charter. This means that engineers who are registered have been subject to a rigorous assessment process and considered to be competent to practice by other registered engineers within their own profession, against a standard that is protected and enforced by Statute. Conversely, the competence of engineers who are not registered cannot be assumed.
