ITP Seminar

Join us on the 18th October 2017 at BT Centre, London to discuss the Future of Business Services

Over the last decade, we have seen the continuing migration to all IP-based networks at the service level, underpinned by high capacity optical cores, with the delivery of 'over-the-top' consumer services and applications, where the network is just transporting the bits.   We are seeing access networks that use a mix of high speed mobile, Wifi, copper and fibre access, which are driving a new era of converged business services that are changing the way the enterprises operate.

Technology developments, such as 5G and business IoT, are adding additional layers of complexity to service delivery networks.  Service Providers are looking to adapt their architectures towards emerging principles of network design that will deliver the capacity needed for the next generation of business services.  Will the advent of software-defined networks and network function virtualisation have an impact on this trend or just enable it to happen faster and more cost-effectively?

This seminar will seek to tease out these issues and offer an insight into the developments that will shape the future of business services and the networks that support them.

Membership News

The ITP has been the independent voice of telecoms professionals for more than 100 years - and we hope that we continue to represent your views, whether you are an apprentice, retired, or somewhere in between! As you know, we are non-profit organisation, and work extremely hard to benefit both our individual members and the industry as a whole. To make sure we can carry on developing ways to help our members, we will be making a small increase in our fees.

With effect from 1st October 2017, the membership fee will be £156 a year for all members, other than those who are retired for whom the rate will be £60. Apprentice and student membership remains at £60. This represents an increase of three pence per day, which we hope you agree still represents great value for money. Those of you who pay monthly either by deduction from your wages or by using the website monthly payment option will now be charged £13.00 per month.

If you have any further queries about the new structure, please contact us. 01932 788861
