The ITP is committed to preserving the privacy of all visitors to this site (the “Website”). Please read the following privacy policy to understand how we use and protect the information that you provide to us.

BY SUBMITTING INFORMATION, REGISTERING OR PLACING AN ORDER ON THIS SITE, YOU CONSENT TO THE COLLECTION, USE AND TRANSFER OF YOUR INFORMATION UNDER THE TERMS OF THIS POLICY.

1. INFORMATION THAT WE COLLECT FROM YOU

1.1 When you visit, register or order products or services on the Website you may be asked to provide certain information about yourself including (but not limited to) your name, contact details, membership number and credit or debit card information. We may also collect information about your usage of our website as well as information about you from [messages you post to the Website and] e-mails or letters you send to us.

2. USE OF YOUR INFORMATION

2.1 Your information will enable us to provide you with access to all or specific parts of our Website, to keep, update and enhance membership records and those of other related ITP activities and to supply the goods or services you have requested. It will also enable us to bill you and to contact you where necessary concerning your orders. We will also use and analyse the information we collect so that we can administer, support, improve and develop our business.

2.2 In particular, we may use your information to contact you for your views on our services and to notify you occasionally about important changes or developments to the Website or our services. Further, where you have consented, we might also use your information to let you know about other products and services which we offer which may be of interest to you and we may contact you by post and telephone, as well as by e-mail. If you change your mind about being contacted in the future, you should notify us.

2.3 Should you chose to submit curriculum vitae documents to our site, we will not use the personal data contained in these documents. The information will be stored securely in accordance with the requirements of The General Data Protection Regulation(GDPR) and will only be passed on to specified third parties on your explicit request. Please be aware that this may involve the disclosure of your personal data to organisations that operate outside of the European Economic Area (EEA), and as such your personal data may be protected to a lesser degree than were they located in the EEA.

3. DISCLOSURE OF YOUR INFORMATION

3.1 The information you provide to us may be accessed by or given to third parties including group companies and any payment provider of ITP who act for us for the purposes set out in this policy or for other purposes approved by you. Those parties process information, fulfil and deliver orders and process debit and credit card payments on our behalf. The current payment provider is SagePay and their privacy policy can be viewed at www.sagepay.com/security_policy

3.2 Where you have consented when providing us with your details, we may also allow carefully selected third parties to contact you occasionally about their organisation or products and services which may be of interest to you. They may contact you by post, telephone or by e-mail. If you change your mind about being contacted by these companies in the future, you should notify them.

3.22 In the event of your attendance at an ITP networking event, you agree to share your information (Name, Company, Email address) as part of the mutual networking process. Upon receipt of your E Ticket for each individual event, you are given the option to opt out of this process.

3.3. On occasions, where we have obtained registration information about you from your employer, we will share the fact you have registered with them.

3.4 Finally, if our business enters into a joint venture with or is sold to or merged with another business entity, your information may be disclosed to our new business partners or owners.

3.4 Countries outside the European Economic Area do not always have strong data protection laws. Where it is necessary to transfer your information to a party located outside of the European Economic Area you consent to such transfer, however we will always take steps to ensure that your information is used by third parties in accordance with this policy.

3.5 Unless required to do so by law, we will not otherwise share, sell or distribute any of the information you provide to us without your consent.

4. COOKIES

4.1 Cookies are small amounts of information which are stored on your computer. Our system will issue cookies to your computer when you log on to the Website. Cookies make it easier for you to log on to and use the Website during future visits. They also allow us to monitor website traffic and to personalise the content of the Website for you.

4.2 You have the ability to accept or decline cookies by modifying the settings in your browser.

5. SECURITY AND DATA RETENTION

5.1 We employ security measures to protect your information from access by unauthorised persons and against unlawful processing, accidental loss, destruction and damage. We will retain your information for a reasonable period or as long as the law requires.

5.2 In order to protect your privacy, ITP is registered in accordance with, and seeks to comply with the GDPR legislation of May 2018.

5.3 ITP is registered with the ICO and has a designated data protection officer

6. ACCESSING AND UPDATING

6.1 You are entitled to see the information held about you and you may ask us to make any necessary changes to ensure that it is accurate and kept up to date. If you wish to do this, please contact us or login to your membership area on the website.

7. CHANGES TO OUR PRIVACY POLICY

7.1 Any changes to our privacy policy in the future will be posted to the Website and, where appropriate, through e-mail notification.
