Hyperoptic is more than just an internet service provider; it also installs its own fibre infrastructure into multi-occupancy buildings, bringing the UK’s fastest internet speeds to users.  Your mission is to be responsible for attending a customer’s premises on-time and according to an installation schedule, and carry out a Hyperoptic service installation.


We are looking for a responsible, experienced, highly skilled individual that would like to be part of building a successful broadband business.  With demonstrable breadth of hands on technical experience, you’ll have the opportunity to play a key role in growth of the Hyperoptic Field Operations team and form a vital component in the future of Hyperoptic.

Responsibilities and duties will include:

  • Discussing and advising customers on their Hyperoptic service installation and ensuring that the customer’s expectations and needs are met wherever possible
  • Installation of cat5e cable:


Installation of surface mounted cat5e cable

Installation of trunking

Installation of access panels

Rodding of cat5e cable through ceiling voids

Excellent light domestic building work skills (drilling, making good)

LV electrical experience / competence - safely isolating and removing domestic lighting/electrical sockets where required to install cable

  • Termination and testing of cat5e cable
  • Recording of test results
  • Data cabinet installation
  • Installation and Commissioning of communications equipment
  • Additional activities will involve supporting the installation supervisor and/or Hyperoptic Deployment Manager.
Person specification: (Essential and desirable)
  • 5+ years of end to end structured cabling installation experience, including:

Cat5e cable installation

Working with deployment related documentation to support installation  (Surveys, RAMS, HLRA, BoM) 

Completing handover / acceptance documentation

  • Familiarisation with Construction & Engineering Health & Safety regulations
  • Excellent customer facing communication skills
  • Tidy and presentable
  • Good IT literacy (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • CSCS certified

You are used to working in an organized way with strong focus on delivery in a timely manner.  You are a team player while also being able to take initiatives and solve problems on your own.

The role will be on-site based work. The successful candidate will be offered a monthly salary and participation in a company incentive scheme.
