Sophie began her career at Virgin Media during her industrial placement year while studying Biomedical Engineering at the University of Reading. Working within the Wireless Performance Test team broadened her technical understanding across industries and inspired her to join Virgin Media O2’s Technology Graduate Scheme after graduating.

During the scheme, Sophie gained extensive experience across Virgin Media O2 and its shareholder, Liberty Global, with roles spanning Technology Strategy, Data Analytics (covering both Technology and Commercial domains), and Programme Management. She proudly completed the programme as Graduate of the Year (ITP & VMO2) having gained significant value from the opportunity.

Following the scheme, Sophie continued to deepen her technical expertise as a Technologist in Mobile Technical Trials, managing and supporting trials of cutting-edge mobile technologies. This role enabled her to build a strong internal and external network, collaborating with industry experts and suppliers on government‑funded initiatives.

Now working within the Mergers & Acquisitions team in the Technology Department, Sophie leverages her broad technical and strategic experience to support and enable complex, strategic projects across the organisation..
