Join us for an exclusive insight into BT's Emergency Response Team (ERT), a crucial force in proactive and reactive measures against threats to the UK's fixed and mobile networks. With a huge focus on extreme weather events, particularly flooding over recent years, the ERT is dedicated to safeguarding critical assets at risk. In cases where protection falls short, the team mobilises to quickly restore services. The ERT strive to help affected communities by providing them with emergency communications facilities until normal service can be resumed.
The ERT is comprised of a small core team supported by a larger team of 50 volunteers drawn from across the business. The volunteers must be able to use their existing knowledge, along with specialist ERT skills, ensuring that they are always ready to support operational deployments.
This session includes a demonstration of the Communication Response Vehicle (CRU), providing insights into its capabilities. We will talk about past deployments and discover the versatile capabilities of this dynamic response team.
Join us at 10.30 for coffee and networking.
